The benefits in detail

Amounts, conditions and franchises, guarantee by guarantee.

Reimbursement of additional medical expenses for treatment received abroad > Up to €250,000 per person per year.

Reimbursement of medical expenses for treatment received in the country of residence for a covered claim occurring abroad > Up to €7,500 after payment by the mutual insurance company.

Advance of hospital expenses > No advance payment of hospital costs if you are not affiliated with a health insurance provider.

Organization and coverage of the transport/medical repatriation for the sick or injured person > Intervention may be limited in certain countries.

In case of repatriation of the insured person during a business trip, coverage of either his return to the destination, or the outward journey of a person designated in replacement. > Only in the case of an early return covered by the contract.

Assistance in the event of death during a trip: payment of funeral expenses, repatriation... > Lump-sum amount for coffin expenses (up to €1,500).

Sending a replacement driver if the only driver is no longer able to drive following an illness or an accident. > Restaurant and beverage costs are not reimbursed.

Coverage for the return of the accompanying person or the person who went to the insured's bedside in the event of repatriation or transport. > Depending on the advice of our medical department, the accompanying person will return either with you or separately.

Compensation for the transport costs of a relative to visit the insured in the event of hospitalisation. > Only if hospitalisation lasts more than 72 hours.

Compensation for the hotel expenses of a relative visiting the insured person in hospital. > Up to €125 per night (max 7 nights).

In the event of the unexpected hospitalisation of a close relative, we organise and pay for the costs of the insured person's early return. > Only if the hospitalisation lasts more than 72 hours and the seriousness of the patient's condition justifies your presence at their bedside..

In case of hospitalization of a child we immediately organize and pay for your early return. > Only if the hospitalisation is unexpected and takes place while you are away from home.

In the event of the unexpected death of a family member, organisation and payment of early return travel costs. > According to the kinship criteria specified in the General Terms and Conditions.

If your home in Belgium is seriously damaged when you are abroad, we organize and pay for your return transport. > You must return to your place of residence within 15 days.

Your door is damaged or you lost your keys? We find a locksmith for you and compensate the costs of intervention. > Max €250 per event for travel and labour costs.

Assistance in the event of loss or theft of travel documents or transportation tickets abroad > Up to €125 towards transport and administrative costs.

Sending professional documents > Only when travelling abroad

Coverage of luggage transportation costs > Luggage left in your vehicle in the event of towing is not covered.

In the event of baggage delays in the destination country (min. 4 hours for scheduled flights and min. 8 hours for charter flights) compensation for essential purchases. > Up to €350 per insured person and per event.

Sending of a replacement worker following the early return of the insured employee, if the latter is unable to return to the place of assignment > Only in the case of an early return covered by the contract.

Sending a suitcase with personal effects in the event of loss or theft of luggage > Provided that you have reported the theft to the competent local authorities.

Sending urgent messages on your behalf > We cannot be held responsible for the content of the message, which must comply with Belgian and international legislation.

Provision of funds in case of unforeseen expenses abroad > Up to €5,000.

Sending glasses, prostheses and medicines directly to your place of stay > Only if the equivalent cannot be found locally, if it is essential and prescribed by a practitioner.

Interpreter assistance abroad > We are not responsible for the interpretation or use you make of the information provided.

Bike assistance: assistance to the bicycle and the driver of the immobilized bicycle in Belgium and its neighbouring countries. > Excluded from this are repetitive immobilisations resulting from a lack of maintenance of the bicycle.

General travel information: visa and administrative formalities > Information provided exclusively by telephone (and by email for urgent medical information).

Assistance in the event of legal proceedings: advance on bail and lawyers' fees > Up to €50,000 per insured person for criminal bail and €5,000 for legal fees.
