Many travellers on long trips suffer the effects of jet lag: they feel tired, have trouble sleeping, feel low, or suffer digestive issues.
Researchers at Flinders University in Australia have invented glasses that are said to help regulate our internal clock. These glasses use LEDs that simulate daylight hours, helping to regulate the wearer's biological clock. This makes it easier to adjust to a new time zone.
The glasses need to be worn for several minutes before and after the time change to work properly. One small downside, though: their size (much bigger and far less discreet than ordinary glasses) and their price of…. around 200 EUR!
These glasses, called Re-Timer ™, have a battery life of 4 hours and recharge via a USB cable.
They can also be used by people who have trouble sleeping or who suffer from the "winter blues"!
