A few useful traffic info sites to help you avoid queues around and in Brussels and Antwerp.
Longer and longer queues appear every working day heading towards, around and inside major cities, including Brussels and Antwerp.
Roadworks, an accident or bad weather are enough to bring traffic to a standstill.
Here are a few useful sites for these two cities where you can follow the traffic situation in real time:
Traffic in Brussels
The RTBF website gives you, in partnership with Waze, a real-time map of traffic in Brussels (and on the ring road).
Website: https://www.rtbf.be/services/mobilinfo
The Bruxelles Mobilité website lets you follow traffic in Brussels, but also gives you a wealth of information on public transport, timetables, urban car parks, Villo bike stations, taxi networks, etc.

Already on the road? Don't forget to listen to the traffic tips given by the Redion Biker on RTBF airwaves.
Traffic in Antwerp
Antwerp is also affected by traffic problems almost daily. The website of the daily newspaper “De Gazet van Antwerpen” carries real-time road information and journey times provided by the Flemish “Verkeerscentrum”.

Traffic in Belgium
For any road information on cities or regions in Belgium, also check the RTBF's Mobilinfo map or the Touring Mobilis website.
A handy app
Tip: The Waze app (downloadable on iPhone and Android) lets you follow how traffic is developing in real time and avoid areas to steer clear of, thanks to data shared by other road users.
