Christmas is a particularly hectic time for Santa Claus, his reindeer, his sled dogs, his gnomes and his elves: they have to prepare millions of gifts to be delivered to every corner of the world.

But despite all this hustle and bustle, did you know it's possible to meet Santa Claus in person? He welcomes you to his home any day of the year and will be delighted to show you his village and the splendid nature of the Arctic Circle.
Those who don't have the chance to visit him in person can get to know him through his website, his videos and photos, or by sending him a letter.

Rovaniemi

Santa Claus has set up his headquarters in a small Lappish village located exactly on the Arctic Circle, just a few kilometres from the Finnish city of Rovaniemi. Every week he welcomes hundreds of visitors there and handles thousands of letters a year. He even has his own football team, "FC Santa Claus"!

Excerpt from his website: "When Santa Claus declared that Rovaniemi was his native capital, he told how the secret of his home at Korvatunturi was revealed at the start of the century, and how this information, carefully guarded until then, spread throughout the world. In order to keep the secrets of Christmas, the elves built a meeting place on the northern part of the Arctic Circle for visitors coming from near and far.
Santa Claus spends his time at the Workshop Village every day of the year and devotes himself to his calling, watching over the well-being of children and the kindness of adults, and spreading the message of love and kindness around the world that embodies the Spirit of Christmas."

The village is open every day of the year. It has numerous shops, gift and souvenir workshops, hotels, restaurants and various activity programmes around the story of Santa Claus, discovering the North Pole (Arctic Circle) and its nature.

The Santa Claus Village website (www.santaclausvillage.info/fr/) lets you discover videos and photos of the real Santa Claus, watch what's happening there live, or book your stay.
