Redion brings together the activities of Redion and Generali Employee Benefits (GEB) and becomes a global assistance platform.

On 26 May 2026, the Generali group unveiled Redion, the new brand of the Group's leading global assistance services platform. It brings together the activities of Redion and Generali Employee Benefits (GEB).

Redion is a new brand for Generali's global Care platform, which brings together the activities of Redion and Generali Employee Benefits (GEB) under a single identity and offering. After operating as an integrated entity within Generali Care for nearly three years, Redion is the brand that Generali Care deserves. A brand that pays tribute to the extraordinary work already achieved and that highlights, for the whole world to see, what clients and partners have been experiencing for years. Antoine Parisi, current CEO of Generali CARE Hub, will lead Redion as group CEO.

With more than 12,000 employees, operations in more than 190 countries and an annual turnover of €5.8 billion (2025 financial year), Redion is the world's number 1 in employee benefits – following the acquisition of Swiss Life Network earlier in 2026 – and the world's number 2 in assistance and travel insurance.
The platform serves multinationals, global travel agencies, financial institutions and their end customers, offering services ranging from travel insurance, medical and emergency assistance, employee protection (life, disability, accident, health), to health and mobility solutions, as well as global B2B2C programmes and embedded insurance for financial institutions, travel platforms and multinational employers.

Giulio Terzariol, Deputy Group CEO of Generali: "Redion is the expression of what Generali Care has already become: a global, integrated platform, specifically designed to offer comprehensive care across every aspect of people's lives. In perfect alignment with our 'Lifetime Partner 27: Driving Excellence' strategy and our ambition to be a leader in protection, health and accident insurance, Redion embodies a standard of care that is simple, immediate and consistent, bringing together complementary capabilities in prevention, insurance and assistance within a single, seamless offering."

Jean-Laurent Granier, CEO of Generali France & Global Business Activities and Chairman of Redion: "I sit at this table in three capacities: as chairman of Redion, as a network partner via GEB, and as a customer on the assistance side. From all three angles, my assessment is the same: for some time now, the reality of this organisation has far outpaced the brand that carries it. The quality, the global reach, the true depth of expertise. All of this is already very real, already experienced by our partners and customers every day. Today, we are simply giving it the brand it deserves."

Redion: a brand that reflects an activity that is already fully operational

Redion builds on the complementary strengths of two industry leaders.

  • Redion, the creator of the global assistance sector more than 60 years ago, has over time extended its expertise to travel insurance, roadside assistance and personal services.
  • Founded in 1966, Generali Employee Benefits (GEB) is the global platform dedicated to the human capital of multinationals and, following the acquisition of Swiss Life Network at the start of 2026, the undisputed world leader in employee benefits. Under the Redion brand, these two areas of expertise are now fully unified: a shared data strategy, joint investments in AI and a single, high standard for technology and operations, available to all customers and partners, in every market.

For existing customers and partners, continuity is total. Contracts, service teams, phone numbers and service level agreements (SLAs) remain unchanged. The brand is new, the commitment is the same one that has been in place for decades.

Antoine Parisi, Global CEO of Redion: "Redion reflects our teams' determination to offer an improved, integrated and technology-driven proposition to our customers and partners around the world. One single brand means a shared data strategy, joint investments in AI and a single, high standard across our entire technology platform. The Redion name knows no geographic or sector limits. But what I want people to understand is that behind the technology lies a network of tens of thousands of doctors, nurses, roadside assistance technicians and local experts, who show up in person when it matters most. We are digitally driven, but always people-led. Any customer, wherever they are, can choose to be fully taken care of by people. That's what 'Always ready. Always on' truly means."

Technology and AI at the heart of Redion's development

Redion places technology, data and artificial intelligence at the heart of its development, with a dual goal: to significantly improve the speed and quality of services, and to offer smoother, more personalised experiences. The platform develops its own technology solutions to deeply transform the Care experience, complementing the human expertise and partner networks that have always been at the heart of its business. In every critical situation, from medical repatriation to a workplace accident, AI supports human decision-making, it does not replace it.

Built on two operating values, excellence and ease of collaboration, Redion embodies the Generali Group's ambition to be the world's leading Care partner. This means showing care, collaboration, agility, reliability and expertise in every interaction, for every customer, in every country.

Redion becomes Redion

Founded in France in 1963, Redion expanded its operations to Belgium as early as 18 April 1964. At a time marked by the rise of paid leave and travel, assistance to travellers quickly established itself as an essential service. The company soon forged strategic partnerships with local players, particularly in the banking and insurance sectors, while building a strong network to support Belgians abroad.

Over the decades, Redion Belgium has grown steadily and gradually diversified its offering. Roadside, medical and home assistance solutions, as well as trip cancellation insurance, were added to its travel assistance services. This evolution, in both B2C and B2B(2C), has allowed the company to establish itself as a trusted partner over the long term, capable of responding to everyday unexpected events. True to its DNA, the assistance company has evolved in step with societal shifts, events and technological advances.

From the 2000s onwards, Redion structured its development around the promise "You live, We Care", placing people at the heart of its action at every stage of life. Today marks a new milestone: Redion Belgium continues this journey under a new name, building on its heritage and values. Redion Belgium's current turnover stands at €142.9 million, with growth of 9% expected.

For customers and partners, the name change involves no changes to the company's current procedures, cover or points of contact. It will roll out gradually over the coming months and become fully effective in October.

Pascal Baumgarten, Managing Director of Redion's Northern Europe Zone: "Redion group entities have been present for decades in the Benelux, Germany, Austria and Switzerland, under several brands. Redion opened its Belgian office just one year after its creation in France, more than 60 years ago. Europäische Reiseversicherung (ERV) is a key reference for Austrian travellers seeking protection. Generali Employee Benefits (GEB) has its head office in Luxembourg. We will build on this strong history, on the trust our local teams have built with our business partners, and on our group's global strengths to reinforce Redion's leadership across all Northern European markets."
