Only as an alternative to a replacement car, in case of a breakdown or accident.
Mobility Budget is virtual money that you receive from Redion as an alternative to a replacement car. You can spend it on various travel alternatives during the period of the repair of your car.
Tickets for de Lijn, as well as for NMBS can be redeemed via the app. These two providers can also be expensed if tickets were paid for outside of the Mobility Budget app. MIVB/STIB and TEC tickets, as well as rides with Lime, Mobit, Uber and Taxis Verts can also be expensed.
Redion grants you a mobility budget as an alternative for a replacement car. If you enjoyed your travels so much that you used all of your budget before the end of the mobility period, we can only be glad that you enjoyed our services and as of that moment you can organise your future mobility yourself.
The Mobility Budget is assigned for a specific period. After this period, all remaining Expenses should be uploaded in the service. Once this is done or in case there were no unclaimed Expenses, the Mobility Budget will be summarised by the operator and the result will be sent to the customer. At the end, all remaining Expenses should be refunded and, if the customer needs to pay anything back to Redion, they are asked to do so using the invoice.
Your mobility budget is available during the mobility budget period. Once this period is over, the budget will not be accessible anymore.
Travelling outside of the Mobility Budget period is not possible.
The mobility budget is valid during the repair of your car with a maximum of days which is stipulated in the general conditions of your contract.
Expenses can have three different statuses: analysed (in this status an operator is analysing your request for this refund), accepted (your expense was accepted by the operator) and declined (your expense was declined by the operator). There are different reasons why the Expense might be refused; these reasons are also mentioned in the History under each Expense.
Tickets are all travel passes which can be bought via the Mobility Budget app, whereas Expenses are all passes which have to be purchased outside of the Mobility Budget app but are still eligible for a refund.
Ordering means that it is possible to order, receive and pay for a ticket or a ride inside the Mobility Budget service, whereas Adding the expense means that you can buy a ticket and pay it by yourself. By simply taking a picture of the bought ticket, you can ask for a refund through the app.
Previous expenses can be viewed in the History, under the Expenses section.
We try to give you as much choice as possible to apply for a refund with selected providers based on the delivered quality.
The refund can be declined due to a couple of reasons: budget is insufficient, ride took place outside of the Mobility Budget period, details in the attached file do not match the filled-in data, the attached file couldn’t be read or the type of ticket attached in the file couldn’t be accepted.
In order to refund you as fast as possible, we strongly recommend you to upload your remaining expenses as soon as possible after your mobility budget period expires and with a maximum of 7 days after the expiry date. If for any reason you were not able to upload all your expenses in due time, you can always contact the operator.
It takes a few days for the operator to accept or reject your expense. After that, it takes about 7 days for the money to be deposited in the specified bank account.
