Different traffic rules
The highway code isn't the same across European countries.
It's therefore hard to keep track of the sometimes very different rules in each country regarding speed limits, the blood alcohol limit allowed, mandatory safety equipment, or country-specific rules.

To make life easier for European travellers and let them get informed quickly, the European Commission has put this information online. An interactive map lets you click through to the data you're looking for, by country (click on the map).
