Staying in a tipi is trendy

Staying in a tipi? Now that's an unusual activity. But a very popular one too! An ideal solution for any adventurer looking for total immersion in nature, this tribal-style accommodation can now be found all over Europe. Many establishments are setting up this type of accommodation, and tipis are springing up like mushrooms all around us.

What exactly is a tipi?

A tipi is a conical tent supported by long wooden poles, generally spacious enough to accommodate an entire family. This distinctive structure originates from the plains tribes of North America. Inside, its inhabitants live in a circle with only the bare essentials, without electricity or furniture. Very practical to put up and take down (originally, to follow the movement of bison herds), tipis are fitted with constant natural ventilation and a smoke extraction system.
